He may have had no dialogue per se but his performance in TCM was iconic and unforgettable. Rest In Peace.

RIP, my thoughts and wishes go to the family. His antidotes are the best and he'll be missed.

Very sad, I hope more details emerge. Not that it matters much, I just like to know.

Sad news...without question the most disturbing and effective portrayal of Leatherface period. R.I.P. big fella.

He was the definitive Leatherface, no question about it. Got to meet him once at a horror convention. Gunnar was very cool in person. Rest in peace.

    So sad. Rest well, Gunnar!

I find it scary that so many of the original Chainsaw cast/crew have died from cancer. Jim Siedow died from lung cancer in November 2003. Bob Burns killed himself (shot himself) in 2004 because he had terminal cancer. Paul Partain died from cancer in January 2005. Now, Gunnar dies from pancreatic cancer. How horrible. Was it ever disclosed what Marilyn Burns' cause of death was?

Also, unrelated to Chainsaw, but, Wes Craven just died from brain cancer in August.

    WTF? Fuck cancer!
