These limited edition prices are getting really fucking crazy! Might have been interested in the Blu-ray at $20.00 to $25.00.
Especially when you're the rights owner, so you don't even have to pay the licensee or anything, so other than production costs of the master, discs, and cases, it's all profit. And the part about the donations - well, guess who runs the National Greyhound Foundation...? Rocktober Blood director Beverly Sebastian. Tax scheme anyone?
Geez, $50 is pretty insane if it is actually a BD-R. The money does go to the National Greyhound Foundation charity however, so that's good.
Funny thing is that the first thing that I thought about seeing the word "greyhound" is bus, not dog.
Yes, but so what if they run it though? It's an animal charity they believe in and have done for years. It's not a Severed Penis Recovery foundation or something else universally contrived. If it's a tax write off for them, at least the funds go to something decent.
Would a modern day Roctober Blood 2 even work? I can't even recal how many years it's been sense hair metal died.
Did they scan that 35 millimeter print or are they using the 1" master he mentioned for the Blu Ray? At that price point, if it's not from the print it's still not worth 50 bucks... Not that it's worth 50 bucks in any event, but at least you can wrap your head around a Blu Ray from film elements.
Actually, no I haven't pre-ordered it. But hearing that it won't be a BD-R and will be from a film print I probably will soon. I've been waiting on this to be released forever.
$60 with shipping. It's probably wiser to wait and see what the perks/prices are on the IndieGoGo campaign next month.
Well that blows. I got DVD-R. I'm tempted to repurchase but I'll cross my fingers for a BD. I'd pay $50 for a quality BD of each Gator Bait.
