Loved it. Absolutely loved it. So many ambiguities and so few straight answers. Al Pacino at his most restraint. Great scenes and supporting characters. Just brilliant.

No it's not. Please tell me more, I am debating seeing it this weekend. The trailer and the director leave me quite on the fence on this one.

I really enjoyed the way the vampires were portrayed. It was a nice change of pace making them the feral animals they should be seen as. The whole look of the film was really good as well. After this and Hard Candy, I'm really liking the way David Slade has his films look. There were really good/gory set pieces, but the gore never felt like it was exploitive or anything, they used just the right amount, imo. I would recommend seeing it. I'm hoping this does way more business this month than Saw 4. It deserves to. :D

Edt: On a totally unrelated note, I'm**this** close to skipping the theater all together or at least sticking to early morning showings to try and avoid every douche bag who thinks they are on MST3K.

Amen! I stick with matinee showings, although it helps that nobody around here likes "my films" anyway. The matinee crowd is usually there for the film (imagine that!), and it's just a much better experience in my opinion. So much cheaper as well.

    Matinees: Best-kept secret around! ;)

One of those films that simply never ages. Every time I see this film again, I like it more and more.

Note: I saw this in a theater for the first time last night.

First time watching this one. There's no way I should've enjoyed it, but I really did.
