Is my memory faulty on The Thing? I recall it being pretty damn gorey but baggio has it pretty low.

    Haven't Seen Yet:
    Friday The 13th (1980)
    Maniac (1980)
    It's Alive (1974)

The Thing was pretty gooey, but not a ton of blood. More goo than blood I would say. My list would probably be the same as Bag's.

You haven't seen Friday the 13th? You've seen some of the sequels right? Do yourself a favor and check out the original, it's among the best slashers ever.

Not faulty, you’re not wrong, The Thing was indeed gory. But more in the sense of what bigdaddyhorse just said. More of creature effects too. But still, no doubt violent, arms chomped off, head tears off, etc... But not so much bloody. Its a tuff list when you get in the middle of the pack. I hesitated on those choices, a couple of my middle choices could be switched around.

And you definitely need to see Friday the 13th. Just curious, have you seen any of the sequels?

I see, when I think gore I simply think ooey gooey soft and chewy. So in my book Slime City would be one of the goriest films even though I don't think even a drop of that red stuff is ever shed.

As for Friday the 13th franchise I've seen Freddy Vs. Jason, the first 10 or so minutes of part 4 and I think one scenes from Jason Goes to Hell. I read all four Eric Morse books though, go figure. And for the record with NMOES I saw the end of Dream Warriors and pretty much all of New Nightmare (different parts at different times). But don't anyone worry their pretty little noggins as I plan on seeing them.
