Holy kitchen appliance!! Has anyone seen this strange little flick? I just finished watching it and honestly, it's one of the most bizarre movies I've ever seen... A young, newlywed couple moves into a NY appartment with an old fridge that appears to be posessed. It features a latino plumber who dances flamenco, tiny fridge people and deliciously strange dream sequences.

Don't get me wrong, it's a "very bad" film, extremely low budget, low production values, etc. But, and this goes for a lot of low budget films, it has so much enthousiasm and originality going for it! Notoriously hard to find, a nice DVD with some insightful extra's would be very welcome. However, if you really want to see it, it can be found online if you know where to look.

Anybody have any thoughts to share on this one?

It's been a long time since I've seen this one, all I really remember about this movie was that I hated it! I picked it up at a flea market many years ago because of it's ridiculous title and plot but it wasn't fun like I thought it would be. :/ I'd definitely pass on a DVD of this!

a friend of mine had it on VHS and to be honest, i got a very different movie from what i was expecting from the cover and title

i was thinking about a really gory and amateurish monster movie, but this is something a bit different, i wouldn't call it a bad movie, it has something, it's of a higher calibre than most movies with such a title, it's indeed quite bizarre and at times quite genuinely funny

i wouldn't go out of my way finding this on DVD, but it's certainly worth watching once

I've always wanted to check this one out. I have the theatrical poster for it.

I saw it back in college when it played in the theater on campus. I remember giving it a scathing review for a paper I had to do for my film class, but that's really all I remember about it.

I own the original VHS, which is probably rather rare.

It's a very strange movie...quite low budget and over the top. I enjoyed it though, it's quirky and doesn't really take itself seriously. It's more of a bizarre comedy outing than any kind of horror film to be perfectly honest. If you go into it expecting a pure horror film, you'll more than likely be disappointed.

You're right, it shows clips later in the video, but I only played the first 20 seconds.

Not to be confused with an earlier film, called Attack of the Killer Refridgerator. I rented Attack on tape a couple of years before seeing it in college and it was even lower budget and probably less than half an hour long. It was one of those films that really made me feel ripped off because I only had limited funds to work with and it was disappointing to think that i'd get a full evening's worth of entertainment and receive everything but.

Attack goes for big bucks these days, a beat up copy went for over $170 recently on ebay, a mint usually goes for around 200.

I received the French DVD yesterday, for about $16 shipped off ebay.

It's definitely fully uncut. The transfer looks pretty good for DVD, much better than my old VHS. The English audio is clear and synced. The disc is a dual-layer with a good bit-rate, and I didn't notice any compression artifacts.

The original English trailer for the film is included on the DVD. I'd never even seen that before...it surprisingly isn't even on YouTube.

There's also a few bonus trailers, and some lame looking French language short film called Evil Barbecue.

It didn't say anything on the case about it being limited to just 300 copies, but that's no sign Amazon FR's listing is wrong.

Looks like DIABOLIKDVD has it. I was considering a blind buy based on the synopsis but this thread has convinced me otherwise.
