    The PQ was weak too.
I really didn't care for this film (at all) but maybe it has a little to do with the cuts.

Nah, the story, dialogue, acting, and the lazy "stylized" camera angles don't make for a very enjoyable film. It's light fun...it'd be a lot more fun with the gore.

Has anyone watched "Return of the Living Dead Part II" to see if it contains the original soundtrack?

Its been awhile, but I believe it is the same as the Region 1 DVD release (ie, no.)

    Confirming what Sax said.

The audio is changed in both the DVD and on Netflix. There is a narration I don't remember in the original cut of the film, talking about trioxin and the canisters, and the score is different.

The VHS has a different soundtrack set to it, which I believe is the original, but I can't confirm that because I first checked this out on VHS, which was quite a few years ago obviously. :p

But to answer the question, yep, it's the altered version, same as the DVD, same runtime too.

Anybody here a Klaus Kinski fan?

The horror film "Crawlspace" is now available as well as "Android" (which is low budget sci-fi: I realize it doesn't belong here)

They're both worth checking out though.

    Also upcoming:
Survival of the Dead (Sep 23rd) ...Which I am glad as I wasn't actually willing to rent it but I'll check it out via netflix
My Blood Valentine 3D (Oct 1st)
    Creepshow (Oct 1st)
Tales from the Hood (Oct 1st) - I consider this film a guilty pleasure.
Paranormal Activity (Oct 9th) - Didn't love it but there's a lot love on the boards here.
    The Stendhal Syndrome (0ct 10th)

Wow Survival already hitting Netflix eh?

Just over a month after it's home release, how's it fairing as far as profit is going?

MBV3D is one of my favorites of recent history, good to see it on there.

Tales from the Hood is an amazing anthology film, probably the second best of the horror genre. Yes, I think it's better than Trick 'R Treat. Plus this one isn't in print anymore, and since I don't have it, I'm happy to see it hit Netflix.

Quite an update coming up, I'm excited.

I'll be pleased to catch this one as it's one of the few Argento films I haven't seen yet (and many describe it as his last film worth seeing) yet its been lingering half-way down my Netflix queue for far too long!

    It's much better than that.

I already mentioned that in my list. :)

Thanks for the warning. I'm hereby removing it from the Queue.

    Wow... this is really awesome!
And to think I was wondering how I was going to come up with 30+ worthwhile titles for next month that I hadn't seen recently (my 10 or so "old stand bys" excluded- I could watch them every month.) Glad to see that Stendhal arrived early.

I just got a PS3 about a week ago and there's way more quality stuff than I thought there'd be. I've used the Netflix disc way more times than I've popped a game in actually.

I'm sure these have been mentioned, but I've checked out these so far:

    Bitten
Blood Game - aka Baseball Bimbos in Hillbilly Hell
    Die You Zombie Bastards
    Little Shop of Horrors
    Murder by Death
    Rockula

One bad thing that I've come across, Ghoul School is on there but the audio is off by about 4 seconds. A fat guy plops down on a bed, the bed breaks, we cut to the next scene before the sound of the plopping/bed breaking is heard. Sucks because I really wanted to check that one out. I'm sure it's a turd but the trailer really sold me on it.

Tombs of the Blind Dead has also recently been added with all the Blue Underground titles listed above.

Just went to watch My Bloody Valentine and while being listed as the 2009 remake. It's actually the original and in HD!! Unfortunately, it's not the uncut version.
