Sounds promising, I'll definetly be picking this one up then
I'll be waiting for reviews. The current Producer's cut released in Europe is sourced from tape masters -- he edited out talk from the beginning, and cropped the film to 2.35:1 to remove the foreign subtitles from the 1"!
Is anyone else having trouble preordering? I keep trying to add it to my cart but it just goes to a page that says that page doesn't exist.
Yeah, I know nothing of this Producer's cut.... Is all of the gore intact/uncut?
Rabid Grannies Blu-ray Review
So either there is a problem with the disc and the Producer's cut won't play, or it wasn't even included when the disc was pressed. Really disappointing, since this blu-ray could have been the definitive edition. I own the Toxie 1 blu-ray, and the blood-sucking freaks blu-ray, which are both great, but this has me worried for the upcoming blu ray's of this year. If Rabid Grannies had problems, who knows which version of Toxie 2, and Class 2 that we are going to get.
Eh, no sale then. It sounds like a botched release. Hopefully 88 Films will release it in the UK... properly.
That really sucks I was hoping for a good release of this film. Hopefully 88 films like Kat said.
I just got mine in. I had to wait a little as Amazon's stock disappeared, so maybe I have a corrected disc. Probably not. We'll see.

Umm yeah, I don't think I'd take this disc even if somebody was giving it away free. I mean, wow. :eek1:
Yeah no producer's cut on mine and after that review I'm afraid to even watch it. Am I to understand that the dvd is the same as the one that's been out for years? If so, I don't own that so it wouldn't make this purchase a total loss. It sucks because I blind bought this because of the surprising quality of their previous blu-rays. I'll definitely be more cautious from here out.
Troma has released a lot of great DVDs in the past, but they've been seriously half-assing it ever since they started releasing blu-rays. They should just let someone else handle it like they did having Anchor Bay release Mother's Day.
That is a fucking disgrace, troma should be ashamed, makes deadly spawn and silent night deadly night look like HD reference disc's.
Looks like Troma is going the way of Full Moon, like they don't give a fuck:fuck: Time to look overseas for a decent release of their films from now on.
This looks like this is going to turn into another Charles Band/Tourist Trap scenario, except somehow taken to an even farther extreme.
HAHAHAHAHA! This guy is something else.
And sadly, some of his apologist will accept his excuses. But then again, like Charles Band, any boycotting or trying to reason, will just fly above their heads, since they already collected on the poor buyers who bought it prebook.. Some of these guys just needs to have some one else handle their production, if they refuse to embrace modern technology.
A lot of people were understandably just expecting a decent quality release from them. Most of their other Blu-ray releases have pretty good HD transfers actually, so it's perplexing why they even thought this was Blu-ray material in its current condition. They can't possibly have not expected huge disappointment from most buyers expecting an actual HD transfer.
That's the thing! Outside of the audio, their blu releases went above and beyond all expectations I had for them. Hell, I remember even posting screenshots from Tromeo & Juliet to demonstrate how good the film looked. That's why this release is such a disappointment. If they really only had VHS elements, then why even release a blu-ray? Just put out a new DVD, I'm sure that would have been cheaper for them.
