its conceivable they might be costing themselves sales, too. i mean for a fan of Catacombs (I'd never seen it before), the aspect ratio and/or presence of a commentary might have meant the difference between a purchase or not.

...and also the set that had Unholy Rollers on it. Before it was actually confirmed that the version on disc was indeed Anamorphic Widescreen, I can recall someone on here even saying they weren't buying it, or were cancelling their pre-order or something like that.

The Outing was full frame on the What's the Matter With Helen? set, too. I think The Godsend was anamorphic widescreen, though.

Catacombs is my least favorite on that set. I found it slow and not that interesting.

I have to agree. I thought the film would be a bit more kooky and fun but instead it was serious and slow. Not a bad film bit nit a favorite of mine either.

Haha, that's true. I'd forgotten the cover makes it seem like it's somewhat spider related

I was expecting a spider in the film as well. After watching Dungeonmaster and Cellar Dweller I was expecting something similar from Empire. I was so let down.

There's been different iterations of the Cabal cut. At the Australian screening I went to the guy responsible for putting this cut together told us he's constantly working on it and cutting overly long scenes while adding others here and there. The cut that I saw was pretty decent in terms of length. It was only hard to watch due to the quality of the added scenes.
I'm definitely interested to see what this final cut looks like. This is probably my most anticipated Scream Factory release.

It's a pretty good film - enjoy the Final Terror. I'm partial to this art:

I'm looking forward to The Final Terror. I don't think it's a great film, exactly, but it has some fantastic deep woods locations that I remember being really atmospheric. I'm excited to see what they look like in HD. Especially the final scene with the giant fallen tress.

I rented it not all that long ago. It isn't particularly memorable.

So, we'll finally be able to see what the heck's going on in The Final Terror. The copy I saw at least was way too dark. Especially during the night time scenes. A fairly good early effort by Andrew Davis. Not too many slasher directors go on to be nominated for a Golden Globe.
