Pre-ordered the Ltd set!
AWESOME news on Night Breed. As far as I knew, the original elements were all lost. So happy they were found. Now can someone put Scream Factory in charge of a new Friday the 13th box set please?
Edit: Holy crap 80 bucks for the limited edition set?? I hate being broke.
$80 fuck that
$80 is obscene. I was ready to jump on the LE until I discovered that it costs twice what it ought to.
guess I'll be pre-ordering the regular release once its available.
Yeah that's way too much. Also I really don't need a copy of the theatrical cut on Blu.
Going with the regular combo pack.
$80 is a little steep, but I guess alot of work is going into this release and if you're a diehard fan than this a dream release, if not get the bare bones edition. I know which one I'm getting
I imagine the price will be lower through other vendors, once pre-orders open up elsewhere.
I really don't understand how those specs justify the difference in price between the two editions. That said, it's cool that they're doing two editions and not just an expensive special edition; I'll at least pick up the cheaper one. Seriously though, what am I missing when I read those specs for the limited edition?
This is included in the limited in comparision:
- Disc 2: The 1990 R-Rated theatrical version of the film on Blu-ray (through a special licensing agreement through Warner Bros.)
- Disc 3: EXCLUSIVE-TO-THIS-SET Bonus Blu-ray disc packed with extras (details forthcoming)
- Includes Collector’s Book with an essay and rare photos
I'm thinking it'll be about $56.00 (w/ the usual 30% discount) when Amazon preorders go live, and possibly a little lower elsewhere.
Yup, I think I'll hold out first until it shows up elsewhere for pre-order. It's certainly not going to sell out immediately, since Shout only has the first 1,000 spoken for.
The exclusive poster? Meh, I don't really care.
I'm in the same boat with you Kat, I can certainly live without those posters.
They dont offer international shipping so i hope amazon gets the limited edition and if hopefully cheaper
Yeah. I'll wait for the Amazon listing. Hopefully save a few dollars!
I have no problem with the price. There's an alternative! Plus, a directors cut of Nightbreed using the original negatives is worth £45 I my book!
Im very happy!
I'd like to have both cuts of the film but I don't think I can justify paying $80 for them, not to mention that shipping to Canada is usually pretty pricey as well. I'm assuming/hoping that the fact that they're numbered 1-1000 is part of the high price.
....but I really want this!!
That's what I mean though, $56 just to add that?!
I would pay 50 for the limited edition but 80 is too steep.
I'll wait to see what Amazon's preorder price is, but nevertheless I'm really excited about this and will probably pay whatever the best price is, be it $60, $70, $80, etc.
