My apologies, seems I've had one too many tasty beverages tonight.
MI. is just fucked up that way. I grew up saying "pop", you grew up saying "coke", some of my friends from down the street call it "soda", Faygo is made here yet all the casinos serve fucking Pepsi.
I had to look up faygo after bigdaddy mentioned it as I hadn't heard of it before, and now I have to ask. Are all of those flavors routinely available on the shelves? Faygo Jazzin' Blues Berry? Pineapple? Faygo Fine Rhubarb Pie? Faygo Raspberry Blueberry? My curiosity is buzzing.
Haven't looked lately.
I know Moon Mist disappeared but was replaced with "Twist", both are like sweeter 7-Up. The grape is crazy good, like carbonated Kool-Aid! Same with the Orange. Redpop may be the most famous flavor (and my childhood but not adult fav), but my Atlien girl swears it's "the nastest shit ever" (she loves the other 3 flavors I mentioned, which make up the Sam's club combo cases when they have them). Redpop is strawberry btw.
I'll have to look for those other ones. I remeber Peach being grub when I was younger, and Pineapple was just O.K. but kinda off. Never seen Blues Berry or Rhubarb pie. Blueberry sounds good, but I'll pass on rhubarb, that sounds horrid.
Unfortunatly Faygo's biggest claim to fame is probably I.C.P., who drown their crowds with gallons of it every show. Then again, I.C.P. may've kept them in business, so I guess they are good for something besides the last couple Esham albums. Why Esham teemed with them is beyond my comprehension. The (arguably) best rapper in Detroit with the (definte) worst, must be a mutual Emenim hate thing.:fucked:
Thanks for the Faygo for Dummies write up. I am terribly curious about some of those flavors, I must admit.
I'm originally from NY so I call it "soda", but living here in Boston a lot of folks still call it "tonic" which didn't even make your list of options.
See post #7
Being from PA, I always said 'pop' before I went to college...and then was quickly converted to soda...which stuck.
As a big fan of the US for the most part, I have to say... you guys definitely have it made when it comes to junk food.
Soda (or pop... or COKE?? Weird..), snack cakes, candy bars, and especially cereal. You get so much more than we do up here.
I think the first thing I do when I move to Burbank next month is grab a box of Fruity Pebbles and a box of Apple Jacks and just enjoy myself.
Soda...Dublin_Dr._Pepper which is the best!
When I lived in Mississippi, it was often called "soda water".
I'm pretty sure the majority of Canada calls it "pop". I've never heard it called "soda" here other than by the Aussies that come up during the winter to work at our ski resorts.
Ha ha. We never use 'soda' here. I think it's just revenge for every time a New Zealander has been confused for an Australian. (and yes, I'm specifically referring to Russell Crowe)
yep. same here. BURRRRRP :eek1:
Yeah, but it's "pop" on the west and "soda" on the east.
it's called pop here but i call it soda because i think it sounds funny, hahaha, sorry my friendly americans.
yeah it's called pop to me but I'll often call it soda pop just to get those weird looks I get.
